Maria L. Johnson is a voice actor who believes in the magic of storytelling and in the power of a well-timed cup of tea. From her cozy home studio in Northern California, she brings warmth and wit to every read, whether it’s a heartfelt audiobook or a playful commercial.

With fourteen published audiobooks to her name (twelve through ACX and two with Academy Voices) Maria has spent countless hours turning pages into performances. She’s also the voice behind Ladybird Voice Studios, where her guiding philosophy is simple: life is short, you might as well try a few things.

Before stepping behind the mic full time, Maria spent years traveling the world as an international flight attendant, an experience that continues to shape her creative perspective and global sensibility. When she’s not recording, you’ll find her cooking up something delicious, knitting a project she swore she’d finish last winter, or curled up with her husband and their miniature poodle, Lucy, watching or reading a good old-fashioned murder mystery.
